Obituary for Rosa Lee Walker

On Tuesday, January 16th, the LORD called our beloved Minister Rosa Lee Walker to her eternal home while at Centra Southside Community Hospital in Farmville, VA. Rosa was born in Lunenburg County, VA on August 24, 1951 to the late Jimmie and Elizabeth Lawson.

As a youth, Rosa attended Lunenburg County Public Schools. She later went on to work for Candy Early at a local clothing factory in Blackstone. Before leaving the workforce to care for her family, Rosa’s last employment that she often talked about was with Brandermill in Chesterfield. As well, Rosa was a licensed Minister at the Pentecost Church of God in Christ. There, she faithfully served on the Ministerial Staff and led several auxiliaries over the years. Even in her sickness, she was always ready to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ when called upon. Her motto was “Be ye also ready!”

Rosa leaves behind to cherish her memories: a devoted husband of 45 years, Frank Walker, Jr.; two daughters: Theresa Lawson and Rose Walker; two sons: Frank Walker III (Marcia) and Jermaine Walker (Shannon) all of Blackstone, VA; eighteen grandchildren (one angel preceded in death, Aryonna Wright); two great grandchildren. .
