Obituary for Carl L. Price
Master Sergeant Carl Leon Price was born in Nottoway County, Virginia on November 28, 1963 to Goldbud Beverly and Winnie L. Price.
Carl departed this life on February 23, 2024 at his home in Crewe, Virginia. He was predeceased by his father, Goldbud; two brothers, Micheal Price and Charles Beverly Sr.; one nephew, Ryan Price.
Carl was baptized and joined the Yielding Zion Baptist Church in Burkeville, Virginia under the Pastorage of Reverend Clifford Vaughan at an early age.
MSGT Price graduated from Nottoway High School in 1982 and enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1983. He served his country from 1982 until 2008 when he was Honorably discharged. During his military career he was stationed in various bases all over the world, including Guan, Texas and Japan. While in the military, Carl was able to further his education, earning his Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Theology and Religious Studies.
MSGT Price was married twice to Marsha and Tonya. To these unions no children were born. Carl was a motivated and energetic man throughout his life and was always willing to help anyone wherever he could.
Carl leaves to cherish his memory; his mother Winnie Price; two brothers Calvin Price (Debra) and James Montgomery Sr., both of Burkeville, Virginia; one sister Brenda P. Rowe (Matthew) of Crewe, VA; two nieces Raven Williams (Elton) and A’Lyce Price; two nephews, Reverend Damien M. Rowe and Justin Rowe; two aunts Mae Robertson and Connie Price who treated him like he was her own; two cousins who treated him as a brother, Sabrina Eppes (Samuel) and Darlene Simmons; three devoted friends who will truly miss him, Jimmy Gordon, Marvin Vaughan and Arnold Brown; a special friend who called him her brother, Julia Thorpe; and a host of other cousins and friends too many to name individually.
